Bullying in High School & we can stop it?

According to https://www.stopbullying.gov When adults respond quickly and consistently to bullying behavior they send the message that it is not acceptable. Research shows this can stop bullying behavior over time." As a result of this high school freshman through seniors will see that teachers, administration etc. are on top of it quicker but due to "popularity" and "clout" kids or young adults will continue to do such actions. https://www.stopbullying.gov also states that from the help of "Parents, school staff, and other adults in the community can help kids prevent bullying by talking about it, building a safe school environment, and creating a community-wide bullying prevention strategy."with the help of them coming in and talking to students we can prevent a lot of the bullying that goes on in the school grounds.

Below is a picture of a student who has been bullied in school.

What to do if your Child is Bullied - Help Kids Deal With Bullies

As you can see in the picture you can see four adults making fun of a student.

From https://www.stopbullying.gov/resources/facts they ask a question of "How Common is Bullying?" they say "About 20% of students ages 12-18 experienced bullying nationwide, and also say students ages 12–18 who reported being bullied said they thought those who bullied," them for these reasons. Such as, "Had the ability to influence other students’ perception of them (56%), Had more social influence (50%), Were physically stronger or larger (40%), and lastly Had more money (31%)." All of these examples were said by students on why they think they were bullied.

In grades 9-12, "Nationwide, 19% of students in grades 9–12 report being bullied on school property in the 12 months prior to the survey." In the following places is where these kids have been bullied during the hours of the school day.
  • Hallway or stairwell (43.4%)
  • Classroom (42.1%)
  • Cafeteria (26.8%)
  • Outside on school grounds (21.9%)
  • Online or text (15.3%)
  • Bathroom or locker room (12.1%)
  • Somewhere else in the school building (2.1%).

With all of the following examples and percentages above you can see that there is many places where kids are getting bullied, harassed or hazed in any place or manor. There is many types of bullying that most people do not think about and a lot of them can lead to suicidal or even many other serious problems.

How to help a bullied child | PhillyVoice

The picture above shows a kid with the blue long sleeve appears to be choking the kid with black and red plad shirt on while giving him a "knuckle sandwich" you can say with the other hand. There is a lot going wrong in this video not just from the kidding the action and bullying but also the 6 other students that appear in the picture and not doing anything about it. The girl on the left side of the picture in the blue long sleeve is laughing at what happens. All 6 of the other students should be held accountable for not sticking up for the kid getting bullied.
